Potent winter system to move through the Northern Plains
A potent weather system will move through northeast Wyoming and western South Dakota late tonight into Monday, bringing snow and very strong winds to the area. Upslope enhanced snow is expected with this system, with 6 inches or more expected across the higher elevations of the Wyoming, northern, and central Black Hills. Lighter amounts of snow are expected across the plains, but very strong northwest winds will produce areas of blowing and drifting snow along with near zero visibilities.
