Wow, what a day of basketball over in St. Francis on Saturday as Todd County met in girls and boys, C, JV and varsity action....That is a long day of work for everyone involved and a whole lotta basketball action covered by Channel 93 and KOYA Radio.

Boy that boys game was something else...That was anyone's game until about 1-minute left...

Couple thoughts:

Todd County - Mark Rogers, your player of the game...WOW...15 poi...

Well, well, well, what exactly do we have up in White River this year? The Tigers ran through the Jones County tournament in brilliant fashion. Eldon Marshall's crew won all three games in decisive fashion...

Beat Bennett County 82-39

Beat Lyman 80-53

Beat Jones County 88-54

Don't know if it is more impressive that White River's average margin of victory was 35 points or that they averaged 83 points per game?

So, the Tigers moved u...

Picked up the phone to yack with Todd County Athletic Director Chuck Wilson to ask him to weigh in on the Todd County vs. St. Francis rivalry....Asked him about how the games were between TC and SF were in the early 1970's.

"We did not play St. Francis in them days…In those days they were Class B…we were Class A," Wilson said. We were in sections and had to play teams like the Rapid City schools and Pierre."

Not sure if everyon...

While Todd County, 6-2, enter the Warrior Dome Saturday to take on the 2-6 St. Francis Warriors, a rivalry that runs deep with passion and a history of talented players will be rekindled. Over the years of living in Mission, I’ve often heard people refer to Buffy Whipple as being a great player. Now Buffy Grimshaw and living in Rapid City with a freshman daughter on the St. Thomas More PROGRAM, Whipple-Grimshaw took time from...

Former White River Tiger, Wyatt Krogman is closing in on the final months of his basketball career at Black Hill State University in Spearfish.

Winners to two straight games, Black Hills State is currently 3-3 in Rocky Mtn. Athletic Conference play. Today, Krogman and the Yellow Jackets host Colorado State University (Pueblo) in a game that starts at 6 p.m. Believe if you copy this link into your browser, that the game w...

Well, there were no polls for the week between Christmas and New Years, SO, the last South Dakota basketball poll was given out on Dec. 18 and the next one should hit the internet on Jan. 2.

And so, White River was just out of the polls last week, let's check and see what the top rated Class B boys teams in South Dakota have been up to.

Class B

1. Bridgewater-Emery (20)    1-0   119  1

Did not realize this until I was listening to the Miller Man during last night's broadcast of the White River vs. Kadoka game, BUT, it was pointed out that White River senior, Sierra McGowan went over 1000 points during the Lakota Nation Invitational.

That's awesome....Congrats to her and the Lady Tigers.

Caught an interesting Facebook Post just before White River took the court for their Lakota Nation championship with Crow Creek. It seems that White River has been coming to the Lakota Nation Invitational now for 11 years.

After their overtime win over Crow Creek on Saturday, out of 11 years they've bee to the dance, they have now won 6 SHIPS.

That's just ridiculously impressive!

One thing I hate/love about White River is it is...

It did not take long for White River to look VERY TUFF out with their 74-48 win over Standing Rock, North Dakota.

Tiger sophomore Tyson Iyotte was named the KOYA Radio / Channel 93 Player of the Game after a near perfect from the field. Iyotte knocked down 9-9 shots including 2-2 from deep on his way to a 20 point effort for the Tigers.

Four Tigers reached double-figures including 12 points from Izaiah Sorace, 14 from Jadice M...
